Welcome aboard, Susan! My family and I love sailing on Disney Cruise Line's
Very Merrytime sailings. Disney Cruise Line has magical Christmas-themed activities and parties to get your whole family into the Christmas spirit!
Since your cruise on the Dream will be either a three or four night sailing, there will not be a Formal and Semi-Formal night, as there are on the longer cruises, but you can expect one night onboard to be an Optional Dress Up night. That will be the night to wear something dressy, or as many guests will do that night, wear their Christmas outfits for Christmas family photos with various backdrops, especially in front of the larger-than-life Christmas tree in the atrium! Plus, Mickey and his friends will be out in their own festive holiday attire too!
The whole family will delight in the Deck the Deck Tropical Party. My kids love participating in that and getting pulled up on stage to help their favorite Disney characters limbo under giant candy canes! Santa himself will make a visit, and you'll love the aroma of freshly baked gingerbread wafting through the atrium as you walk by the life-sized gingerbread house there! My kids love the first night when one lucky cruiser is chosen to help Mickey and his friends light the Christmas tree! Christmas crafts, like gingerbread house making (check your Personal Navigator on day one to see if this will be offered, as this requires reservations and is limited, so sign up right away!), ornament and card making, and more will be listed in your Personal Navigator each day. Be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to use onboard so you're always in the know about the latest events!
Susan, please stop back if you have other questions before you set sail! We're happy to help!
