We're cruising on the Dream with our children and grandchildren age 6 & 1. Are there any areas where the 1 y.o. can crawl around to let off steam other than the splash area? We're not interested in leaving him in the nursery alone. T

Welcome aboard, Carol! What a treat for you to be able to take this multi-generational cruise with your children and grandchildren!

Besides It's A Small World Nursery which provides fun and activities for the smallest cruisers while their parents enjoy some adult time, there are lots of options for having fun with a one-year old on the Dream. Your six-year old grandchild will get to have a blast with the counselors in Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab during the cruise. For most of the time, the Youth Clubs are secured spaces where just the children get to play with characters and counselors while enjoying exciting entertainment and activities just for them. However, there will be a few times throughout the sailing that the clubs will hold Open House hours. During these scheduled times, parents (or grandparents!) get to stay and play with the kids in the clubs. This is a great time to bring the little one along to let him crawl or toddle around to explore the big kids' space. I bet he'd love to crawl through Slinky Dog in Andy's Room! Just keep in mind that big kids will be around too, as well as parents, but with you nearby, he's sure to enjoy his exploring time!

On most sailings, Disney also holds Jack Jack's Incredible Diaper Dash. During this cute "race", little ones line up in the atrium lobby and "race" by crawling across the atrium to cross a finish line. With babies going in all different directions, it's worth watching even if your little guy doesn't participate, as it's always a lot of fun!

Keep an eye on your Personal Navigator which will list activities throughout the cruise. Two favorites for families with babies and toddlers are "Toddler Time" and "Wake Up With Disney Jr" where little ones gather in one of the lounge areas with their parents for some fun Disney playtime.

I hope that helps as you continue to plan, Carol. I'm happy to help with any other questions you might have before you set sail!
