Ahoy there, Keri! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I’m so excited for your upcoming sailing on the beautiful
Disney Wish! I actually cruised with my best friend and her family this summer, and we were in different staterooms, so I’m happy to share what worked for us to get the same Port Arrival Time (PAT).
First, your
Castaway Club status determines when you can begin online check-in. For example, my friend and I were both Silver Castaway Club members, which meant we could check in 33 days before our cruise. We both stayed up until midnight to grab the earliest possible PAT, and we actually ended up with the exact same time. However, if your group has different Castaway Club levels, your check-in windows will likely be different. If that happens, you can always choose to all arrive at the later PAT so you can board together. Just keep in mind that guests who arrive early may be asked to return at their assigned time.
To make check-in smooth sailing,
I recommend having all your documents ready before you start. That means having passport scans or photos in JPEG format for everyone in your travel party, including children. You’ll also need a recent forward-facing color photo from the shoulders up for each person; no hats, no sunglasses, and make sure your face is fully visible. I’m not a night owl, but I can tell you that staying up until midnight to check in is worth it because the earliest arrival times go quickly.
And here’s one last embarkation day tip: pack swimwear in your carry-on so you can head straight to the
AquaMouse before it gets crowded. Then treat yourself to a bite at Marceline Market or
Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods (the outdoor pool deck options are delicious).
Wishing you smooth seas and magical memories on your Disney Wish cruise, Keri. If you have more questions before you sail, you know where to find us.
Sea ya real soon!
