Welcome aboard, Kelly! It's almost time for your family to set sail with
Disney Cruise Line. I hope everyone is healthy and well right now since you leave for your magical adventure at sea in just over a week!
If you're onboard and partway through the sailing, one of your kiddos (or you or your husband, for that matter), becomes ill, there is a
Health Center that you can visit. I found that out the hard way when my son came down with a double ear infection two days into our seven night sailing a few years ago. We headed down to the Health Center and they were simply amazing with my little guy. It's sweet when I think about it now, because he had gone to dinner dressed as Peter Pan before we had to go to the doctor. So, there was this sad little Peter Pan, sitting on the big table in the Health Center talking with the doctor. We were given antibiotics and he was feeling so much better the next day. Vacation saved! The Health Center onboard cannot accept insurance plans, we found out, but they were happy to provide us with a detailed receipt that we submitted to our insurance provider once we were back home, so we could be reimbursed. While onboard, I simply charged the cost of the visit to our stateroom account, and we settled it with our credit card.
I sure hope that your family is very healthy for your entire cruise, but if a minor medical situation happens onboard, Disney has you covered! Have a magical cruise, Kelly!
