We are cruising on the Disney Magic, October 2014 sailing out of San Juan. This is our first time to the Southern Caribbean Islands. What are the formal and informal nights? Do they do a Halloween Party? What port adv. do u recommend, kids ages 11&

Welcome aboard, Shannon! This fall will be such a great time for your family to set sail on the Disney Magic! I must admit, I'm a bit jealous that you'll get to experience the newest Southern Caribbean itinerary from San Juan, Puerto Rico! I can't wait to set sail from there sometime myself!

Though attire nights are always subject to change, most likely you can expect the following:
    Night 1: Cruise Casual
Night 2: Formal Night (at sea)
    Night 3: Pirate Night
    Night 4: Cruise Casual
    Night 5: Semi-Formal
    Night 6: Cruise Casual

Be sure to check your Personal Navigators each day to verify the attire nights for your particular sailing, as slight variations might be made.

Since you're sailing in October, your family is in for even more fun since your cruise will be a Halloween on the High Seas cruise! From costume parties for kids and adults to spooky stories, themed crafts and games and a special trick-or-treating night, this will be a great time to sail! Even the Disney characters get in on the act, wearing their own Halloween costumes! Pack costumes for everyone in the family, as you'll enjoy some great photo opportunities!

There are plenty of amazing Port Adventures from which to choose, but I'll throw out a few of my favorites! In Barbados, a monkey encounter is tops on my list. Either the 4x4 Adventure or the Monkey Encounter and Island Adventure. Your kids would love spotting monkeys in the reserve and feeling like you're on a real safari! Plus you'll get to experience the sights of this gorgeous island! In any of these Southern Caribbean ports, a "Best Of" adventure is perfect. It gives you the opportunity to see the most wonderful sights on the island, all with the comfort of allowing Disney to take care of the details. Have fun as you plan, Shannon! Stop back with any other questions!
