Welcome aboard, Danielle! December is such a great time to set sail with Disney Cruise Line because you'll get to experience the joy of a
Very Merrytime Cruise! My family and I have sailed on a few Very Merrytime Cruises and they are some of our favorites! There will be a Tree Lighting Ceremony on your first night, so be sure not to miss that! It's a great way to kick off your cruise!
The Youth Clubs onboard the Magic are top notch! My kids adore Andy's Room where they feel "toy sized" and get to climb up on Andy's bed to slide down the Slinky Dog slide! Your girls are at the perfect ages to enjoy Pixie Hollow where they'll twirl around as they try on fairy and princess dress ups. Tinkerbell herself might even pop in for a visit! Plus, who can resist more fun games and crafts in the Mickey Mouse Club?
Don't worry if your girls tend to be shy. The counselors in the
Oceaneer Club and Lab are wonderful at getting kids involved. I'd suggest bringing some different colored highlighters so that when you receive your Personal Navigator each evening, you can highlight the "must-do" activities for each person. You can read about the different events going on in the clubs and take your daughters when their favorites are happening. Give the counselors there a heads up that they might be a little shy, but were hoping to participate in that particular activity, and they'll be sure to include them! Another idea is for you and your husband to visit the clubs with them on the first day of your sailing during Open House hours. This will let them get familiar with the surroundings while Mom and Dad are right there with them. There are other open house hours throughout your sailing so you can join in on the fun with them then too!
Happy planning, Danielle!
