Hello! We will be cruising on the Disney Fantasy this September. My 5-year-old daughter loves to swim, and enjoys wearing her swim fins. Are these allowed in the pools on the ship? I didn't see anything about swim fins not being allowed.

    Ahoy, Cara!

How lucky you are to be sailing on the gorgeous Disney Fantasy this fall! I see that your daughter shares a love of the water with Nemo and his gang, which is great!

Unfortunately, fish and finned children are not allowed in the pools on any of the Disney Cruise Line ships. The good news is that you can bring her fins along for her to become a fish at Castaway Cay for sure! She is sure to have a FINtastic time swimming in the amazingly clear water at Castaway Family Beach. For an extra treat, bring a mask for her to view her underwater friends as well.

You can also plan on taking part in Port Adventures that involve swimming, so that your little bathing beauty can wear her fins and become the mermaid that she dreams of.

I hope this helps with planning your voyage on the Disney Fantasy. Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with further questions as your cruise gets closer.

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.

Walt Disney World was my very first vacation, when I was just 3 months old, and I recently completed my 73rd trip to a Disney location! I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
