Cruising on Disney Dream in February and wondering if there is babysitting service for a 5 year old if we want to do an adult dinner some night?

    Welcome aboard, Brenda!
Hooray for a warm and wonderful February cruise on the Disney Dream. Your family will be so happy to wave goodbye to that Wisconsin snow and chilly weather as you head south for the warm waters of the Bahamas. Disney truly offers something for everyone, both adults and children, so you are all in for a magical experience.

There is no babysitting per se onboard, but there are Youth Clubs. Super cool, awesomely fun Youth Clubs that kids do not want to leave because they're having too much fun experiencing all of the activities, entertainment, and events with the counselors there. No need to sing up for specific times slots, just bring your five-year old to the Oceaneer Club or Oceaneer Lab whenever they see an event they simply must attend listed in the Personal Navigator or on your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. There, you'll check them into secured programming with the counselors until you pick them back up. If your little one is anything like my kids, you might find it hard to get your kids out of the clubs, because the activities are so fun!

When you're ready to head off to your Adult Exclusive dinner at Palo or Remy, or perhaps you're just enjoying your regular dining rotation alone without the kids, just drop your little one off at the clubs. They even serve dinner there for kids, if you think your child would enjoy eating with new friends. Check the Personal Navigator for times, but it is usually around 5:30 p.m. Alternately, if you're eating later, you can always grab your little one a meal at the Quick Service spots on the pool deck or even order from the Complimentary Room Service Menu so he or she can eat in your stateroom while you're showering and getting ready for dinner.

Have so much fun planning for this exciting trip, Brenda!
