Ahoy, Amanda!
December may be my favorite time to cast off with Captain Mickey because I love the holidays and the extra pixie dust Disney Cruise Line sprinkles on the
Very Merrytime Cruises. If your cruise vacation doesn't put you in the spirit of the season, nothing will! Just wait until you see the Gingerbread House in the lobby atrium because the size, detail and edibility is just incredible. And it is created by the amazingly talented pastry chefs onboard!
I know you are looking forward to some festive fun with your crew and making some magical memories that you'll cherish for yEARs to come, Amanda. To kick off your Disney Cruise the right way, you want to have your Ducks (Donald, Huey, Dewie and Louie) in a row before you set sail. Since you are the legal guardian to your Mouseketeers, you will not need any type of consent from your ex-husband. What you will need is valid U.S. passports or state-issued (original or copy) of your children's birth certificates. If they are over 16, they will also need government-issued photo IDs, if they are using their birth certificates instead of passports. The check-in procedure at the cruise terminal is very easy, and you'll be onboard celebrating your VACATION before you know it!
Amanda, thank you for sailing by with this very important question. As you think of others, we hope you stop by to "sea" us again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Have a wonderful day!
Nancy
