Welcome aboard, Penny! Your cruise later this summer on the Disney Fantasy is going to be an amazing one! That ship is so brand new with so much technology on top of the already fantastic Disney details. There really is something for everyone!
Your husband is welcome to wear dress shorts with a nice shirt for Cruise Casual nights in the restaurants. Formal and Semi-Formal Nights are just that, a time to get dressier for dinner. Most men will wear a suit or khakis with a dress shirt, sometimes with a tie, you'll even see some tuxedos. If your family decides not to dress up at all for those nights, it's okay. You can simply grab a quick bite to eat at the quick service spots on the pool deck or head into Cabanas which is usually the breakfast and lunch buffet, but at night offers a more casual dinner experience as an alternative to the main dining restaurants. Additionally, Room Service is complimentary should you prefer to eat in your stateroom or on your verandah for a change of pace.
We really enjoy Formal and Semi-Formal nights onboard, Penny. Even the Disney characters get in on the fun and wear their tuxedos and fancy dresses that night. It certainly makes for some great photos!
Do keep in mind that if you make
Adult Exclusive Dining reservations at Palo or Remy, there is a very strict dress code at those spots, so read up on that on their webpages before you pack, so you're prepared.
Please let me know if you have other questions before you set sail! I'm happy to help!
