Cruising Alaska Sept 2. Could we do similar outdoor activities on the boat as our last cruise on the Magic (Jan 26-Feb1) that went to hotter climates. Could we really swim and lounge on the deck and jog etc? Is that still normal for an Alaskan cruise?

    Ahoy Catherine!
It is great to hear from you again!  It can be brisk on deck during the Alaskan sailings, but if you layer up you can enjoy outdoor activities.  In fact, Disney Cruise Line offers a "Base Camp" for the youth when the ships sails through Tracy Arm fjord.  The sports deck will be transformed with Alaskan-themed stations with crafts, games and other fun activities planned!  If your kiddos plan on swimming, the pools are heated once the outside temperature drops below 75.  The average high temperatures for the Alaskan port of calls are usually in the 60s with lows in the upper 40s to low 50s in early September.
I think the key to enjoying the outdoors on your Alaskan sailing is having the appropriate attire so I would check the weather a few days before you go so you have everything you need!
Thanks again for stopping by, Catherine!
