Welcome aboard, Deborah, and congratulations on your upcoming 14th cruise! Does that mean all 13 have been with Captain Mickey and his crew? I hope so, because after sailing with Disney, my family and I know that it's the only cruise line for us! No others can compare to the level of service and entertainment we receive each time we head out to sea with Disney!
Dining onboard is certainly a highlight for me when cruising with Disney too, Deborah. Don't worry at all about missing out due to your new low-sodium diet. Following your doctor's orders will keep you healthier and better able to enjoy more and more cruises in the future. You'll want to give the agents at Disney Cruise Line a call at (800) 951-3532 as soon as possible to add your low sodium diet to your cruise reservation information. They'll add that so that your dining servers will be alerted before you even set foot on the ship. Then, go over that information with them at the first dinner onboard, and they'll guide you from there. As you know, Disney offers Rotational Dining, so you'll have the same dining servers with you each night as you rotate through the three table service restaurants, which means no having to re-explain your diet to new servers every time. They'll be ready for you!
Disney does suggest that
guests with special diets such as this try to eat all of their meals in the table service restaurants, which are better equipped to handle special requests like this. However, you're welcome to ask about specifics at the quick service spots and Cabanas buffet, but I'd suggest sticking to the table service restaurants as much as possible.
I hope that helps as you get ready to set sail on this next cruise, Deborah! Enjoy the magic!
