We cruised 2x on Dream & are looking at Europe/Med for summer 2015. I wonder which cruise/ports would be best for girls ages 10 & 5 for 1st time Europe vacation. Seeing cathedrals and art museums will last only one port. Can you recommend a 5-7

Welcome aboard, Marsha! I'm excited to hear that your family is considering a magical cruise with Disney through Europe in 2015! There is so much history and culture to experience in each of the ports there, you're sure to have a memorable and educational trip for everyone in the family!

If you're looking for a 5-7 night cruise in 2015 for Europe, you'll want to check out the offerings in August of 2015 out of Barcelona, as there are some great 5 and 7-night options. I'd opt for a seven-night out of Barcelona, which is offered August 15, 22, and 29, 2015, with port stops in Villefranche, La Spezia (Florence), and Civitavecchia (Rome).

When I was in Europe with Disney Cruise Line last summer, I loved the Kids Port Activity Guides that they received in each port. There were Disney-themed activities to keep the kids busy as we traveled to each adventure, so your girls will have a lot of fun with those, and learn a lot about each port along the way.

Check out the exciting Port Adventures in each port you'll visit. Click on "Family Adventure" on the left side of the page so you view only those that are perfect for families. In Villefranche, you might consider the Nice By Train or the Monaco, The Marina and the Little Train adventures. Besides getting a nice overview of the area as well as tours of the famous sights, your girls will love that they get to ride the cute little train as you do so!

Highlights of Rome for Families is the perfect adventure for your crew in Rome. I love any of the Disney adventures that include an Exclusive Youth Activity because the counselors from the Oceaneer Club onboard the ship travel with you and take the kids to participate in a local cultural activity for part of the time while the parents get to sneak away for some independent exploration and shopping. This adventure includes a fun puppet show for the kids. Plus you'll visit some of Rome's most popular sights.

    Have fun planning, Marsha!
