Welcome aboard, Colby! You must be excited to set sail again this April with Disney Cruise Line. I can only imagine that your last sailing on the Dream was magnificent, especially as a
Concierge guest. Disney treats all of their cruise guests like royalty, but the Concierge guests get even more extras from the wonderful Concierge hosts.
I wish I could tell you a certain amount to tip, but the gratuities for your concierge hosts, as with any other tips, are completely at your discretion. I've heard such widely varied amounts that were left from other guests that there isn't quite a norm to suggest. What I would suggest is to tip based on the service you receive and how many special requests you make, and how many other extras your host provides you with, keeping in mind the number of days you're onboard too, and the number of guests in your stateroom. You can use the
traditional gratuities for a regular stateroom host as a guide and then add based on the additional services you might receive from your concierge. Many Concierge guests have said that before they sail, they'd budget an amount per person in their stateroom and per night of their sailing for their concierge host, then add extra if any special requests or treats occur throughout the sailing. Perhaps you could start there. You may also want to include a separate tip for your concierge bartender if you take advantage of that perk often.
You're in for so many magical moments on your sailing this spring, Colby! Have fun as you plan all the extras and get ready to set sail! Please feel free to stop back with any other questions you might have as you continue to count down to your sail date!
