Welcome aboard, Sarah! Are you so excited to experience the magic of a Disney cruise with your daughter? There are so many fabulous
activities onboard for families!
When we brought our kids' car seats or booster seats with us, we always found that the easiest thing was to check them in with our luggage at the port. We didn't want to have to carry those seats around the ship until our stateroom was ready that first day. As long as you put one of the provided Disney Cruise Line luggage tags on your car seat, it will arrive with your luggage right in your stateroom later on in the day. Since you won't be needing it onboard, allow Disney to take care of that for you!
The same can be said for when you disembark. Since you'll be asked to leave your luggage outside of your stateroom the night before debarkation (except, of course, for your day bags you'll need the next morning), you can also tag your car seat and leave that out as well. Once you arrive back in port, simply head off the ship into the cruise terminal to luggage pick up and look for your luggage tag section, which is indicated by a specific Disney character on your debarkation tags. There, you'll find your luggage and car seat, and you'll be ready to head home.
Don't forget to check out
It's A Small World Nursery. You may want to schedule a few time slots there for your daughter to play with the amazing counselors while you and your husband sneak off for some
adult time onboard. Nursery time can be booked during online check-in, which begins for
first time cruisers at 75 days prior to sailing.
Happy planning!
