Hi we have a cruise in just under three weeks and we have not received our cabin assignment yet, Do they really wait until the day we arrive to the port to issue cabin assignments?

    Ahoy Cindy!

Three weeks! You are going to be dancing with Captain Mickey or Captain Minnie and the whole crew for a Sailing Away Deck Party in no time. You must be so excited.

It sounds like you booked a Guaranteed Category (GTY) Stateroom for your upcoming Disney Cruise Line Vacation. I have been in your shoes before and completely understand the nervous-excitement (we came up with a word for it around here: nerv-o-cited. Not too creative, but it works!) while waiting for a Stateroom Assignment.

Guaranteed Staterooms are assigned as far out as 45-days before sailing and could be revealed all the way up until you arrive at the port. I know that can seem a little wild, but look at it as an adventure! I am proud to say that I have sailed in many locations on three Ships of the Disney Cruise Line Fleet. I have never, not once, found a location that I wouldn't recommend. They are all amazing! Sure, some are slightly more amazing than others, but it is very hard to conjure a complaint with the gentle rocking, gorgeous views, jaw-dropping entertainment, and delicious food on a Disney Cruise Line Vacation.

Cindy, just keep checking the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App or My Reservations on the Disney Cruise Line Website for that magical assignment. Once you learn where you will rest your head, check out a Deck Plan to get a feel for the location. I'm sure you can easily find a reason to love it!

I'm sorry that I don't have a more definitive answer for you, Cindy. I just know that if you ride the wave of excitement, you will be enjoying an unforgettable Disney Cruise Line vacation before you know it.

Come back and visit us with any other questions. "Sea" ya real soon!

    Adventure is out there,
