Ahoy, Margaret!
It is wonderful to hEAR from you again! My family just returned from a Western Caribbean sailing on the
Disney Fantasy with a
Stars Wars Day at Sea. We aren't huge Stars Wars fans either, but it was fun to see all the unique experiences offered on our cruise. Basically, the Stars Wars activities and events are just one day of your vacation (on our cruise it was Day Six), and there were plenty of other things to experience as well. If you are interested in the meet and greet appearances with the Star Wars Characters, there will be a form for you to fill out where you are able to order your preferences 1-5. We are given tickets to see the Trusty Companions (R2-D2 and C-3PO) and the Dark Side (Darth Vader). The Star Wars movies will be shown in the Buena Vista Theatre and the Walt Disney Theatre, there will be a costume celebration, some themed activities in the youth programming, trivia, crafts, a Guest Speaker and even Star Wars 101 if you are interested in learning more! The menu for dinner is Star Wars themed, and it was probably one of my favorite meals of the cruise (Hans Solo's Frozen Carbonite Sundae and Calrissian Velvet Cake were both delicious!). The day ended with a spectacular fireworks show, Stars Wars Summon the Force, a Galactic Dance Party and a Star Wars Late Night Buffet!
On our cruise, we were able to enjoy some of the Star Wars experiences and regular activities like Goofy Golf, the AquaDuck and playing Pictionary in La Piazza during the Stars Wars Day at Sea! Your cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator and Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will have all the details.
Margaret, if you have any other questions about your cruise, please write back! We would love to hEAR from you again.
Have a magical day!
Nancy
