Hi Matthew,
Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your great questions! How exciting to have a
Walt Disney World Resort and
Disney Cruise Line vacation planned for next year! A
land and sea vacation is my favorite way to do Disney.
I'm happy to share that you can reserve
Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation from each of the Disney's All-Star Resorts to Port Canaveral on your cruise embarkation day. You can make reservations (for a per-person fee) on the Disney Cruise Line website under the Already Booked tab and select Ground Transportation. You can also
call Disney Cruise Line to book your transfers.
Parking at Disney Resorts Collection hotels is reserved for registered Guests currently staying at the resort, so leaving your car parked at the hotel is not permitted. If you will have your car during your Walt Disney World stay, I recommend driving to
Port Canaveral. It is an
easy drive from the parks to the port! The port parking deck at the Disney Cruise Line terminal is very convenient and, depending on the number of Guests in your party, it may be more economical since the per-day parking fee is very reasonable. The added bonus is that you can head straight home at the end of your cruise, although it would be tempting to head back to Walt Disney World for another visit!
As you are counting down the months until your vacation, be sure to mark your calendar for your
Onboard Activities Booking Window. This is the magical date when you can
begin booking onboard activities such as specialty dining and Port Adventures. If you are a first-time Disney cruiser, your booking window opens 75 days prior to departure. For returning Guests, the date varies based on your
Castaway Club status.
Matthew, I hope this information is helpful as you continue planning your vacation. If you have other questions or need some tips, visit planDisney again!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
