Hello Cruise moms! One more ?. At the time of our cruise, my eldest will be 9. How is check in handled for him? This will be our first cruise and I don't feel comfortable having him check out of the club on his own. Is this an option for 9 year olds? Thank

Welcome back, Kim! This is a great question, as quite often parents want to know if their children can check themselves in and out of the clubs on their own.

In the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab, your son at age 9 will have a Mickey Band to wear throughout the cruise. This allows counselors to check him in and out of the club when a parent drops him off or picks him up, giving the password that you'll create during registration. Children ages 8 - 12 can check themselves out of the Club and Lab on their own if a parent gives permission for that. If you're not comfortable with your son doing this on his own, simply let the counselors know that only you or your husband can pick up your son and he'll be all set. Most likely he won't even know that this was ever an option for him, so that makes it easier on you!

I hope that eases some of your worries, Kim! We're always happy to help answer any other questions you might have about your cruise, so please stop back again! Happy planning!
