Welcome aboard, Sylvia Diane! I'm excited to hear that you'll be setting sail with
Disney Cruise Line this fall. My family and I have sailed many times in November with Captain Mickey and his crew and find it a great time to escape the chilly temperatures back home and head south to the warm waters of the Caribbean or Bahamas! You're in for a great trip!
While there are many
benefits to carrying a passport, Disney Cruise Line does not require U.S. citizens to have passports for its Bahamian or Caribbean sailings that depart and return from U.S. ports, however it is a good idea to have them, so you can more easily return home should you have an emergency in a foreign port of call. U.S. Citizens on those sailings must have a valid U.S. Passport, (so yours would be still valid in November), or a government-issued photo ID (like driver's license) along with the original or copy of your state-issued birth certificate.
Please read the exact and most up-to-date details on
Passports and other required travel documents specific to your itinerary on Disney Cruise Line's website for more details.
I hope that helps as you continue planning your cruise this fall, Sylvia Diane!
Have a wonderful trip!
Marcy
