Welcome aboard, Tammy! The 6-night cruise on the Magic out of Galveston looks like a perfect getaway! I'm actually counting the days until I set sail on that cruise myself. It's coming up soon!
Here are some details that you can expect on your sailing:
Night 1: Cruise Casual
Night 2: Formal Night
Night 3: Cruise Casual
Night 4: Pirate Night
Night 5: Semi-Formal
Night 6: Cruise Casual
There are some amazing Broadway-style Disney shows most nights about your cruise, like
Twice Charmed and
Disney Dreams, both of which you can read about on Disney Cruise Line's website. You won't want to miss any of them. If you're wondering which movies will be showing on your particular sailing, call Disney Cruise Line a week before you set sail and they should be able to give you a good idea of the current movies being offered in the Buena Vista Theatre onboard.
Gratuities on the 6-night cruises are typically $72 per person. This is broken down into $24 for your server, $18 for your assistant server, $6 for the head server and $24 for your stateroom host or hostess. Keep in mind those dollar amounts are per guest in the stateroom. And, if you find that one or all of these Cast Members goes above and beyond, you are always welcome to thank them by adding more to your tip.
You might want to consider booking Disney's ground transportation from the airport to the port in Galveston and back, as Disney will take care of all of the details and make the time right before your cruise and right after very easy and relaxing.
Have a wonderful time, Tammy! Enjoy your cruise!
