Hi, We are going on a cruise to St. Martens and St. Thomas on the Fantasy in Dec. 2013. Wondering which beach would be best for a family with kids ranging in age from 6-12. Thanks

    Ahoy Keri!
A holiday sailing on the Disney Fantasy will be an unforgettable vacation filled with many magical memories for your seafaring crew!  The ship will be dazzling with beautiful decor, and the characters will be dressed in their holiday finest!
If you don't see any beach Port Adventures that interests you, you can venture out on your own when you head ashore.  I always recommend discussing taxi rates before committing to service and also be sure to leave plenty of time to head back to the ship when you are finished enjoying the island.  Traffic can be unpredictable so leaving extra time is always a good idea, and take money along with you for rentals and food.  In St. Maarten, Great Bay Beach is a short walk away from the pier which makes this very easy to navigate.  If you want to venture out further, Orient Beach is a nice choice, but as I have found, sun bathers sometimes are not fully covered so try to stay on the northern end of the beach.  In St. Thomas, Maagen's Bay is quite popular, but you may also consider Morningstar Beach which is about 15 minutes from the pier.
I hope this helps, Keri!  Please write back if I can help further!
    Have a magical day!
