Summer will be here before you know it, and you'll be setting sail for your Bahamian voyage on the Disney Dream! My crew just returned from a Disney Cruise vacation, and it was my teen's first time experiencing
Vibe and she LOVED it! The counselors were fabulous, and she had a great group of friends to hang out with by the end of the first night. She made sure she was there for the ice breakers to get to know the other teens the first evening aboard, so I suggest your teen make plans to be there if possible.
Hours of operation will be listed in your daily cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator and on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. But, I can give you an idea of what to expect since it typically stays about the same for each sailing. The first afternoon Vibe will be available for Open House throughout the afternoon if you want to check it out and get some pictures of your teen in this very cool space! Only teens 14-17 will be allowed after 6:00 p.m., and it usually closes at midnight on embarkation day. Hours can run from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. on other days except for Castaway Cay. Since the island has the Teen Hideout, Vibe won't open until later (around 5:00 p.m.) and may close a bit earlier than normal. And just so you know, the Vibe counselors offer a teen-only excursion on Castaway Cay for anyone interested in signing up. My daughter participated in the
Wild Side Teen Adventure this past weekend and had an absolute blast. It lasts about 4 hours, and it includes snorkeling, bicycling and a thrilling speedboat ride. She signed up on the ship, and I did have to sign a consent form so she could disembark the ship without me.
