Ahoy Ashley!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am excited to hEAR that you will be sailing with Captain Mickey on
Disney Cruise Line!
Debarkation day always brings tears for our family. The only bad part of taking a Disney Cruise is that eventually it ends! I do like to extend our vacation by flying back late the evening on debarkation day of our cruises. It makes the transition back to real life a little bit easier!
If you are looking for specific activities near Port Canaveral, our family really enjoyed visiting Kennedy Space Center. It is fascinating to see all that history in one place and is an easy drive from the cruise terminal. Another option even closer to the cruise terminal is Jetty Park. We like to walk to the beach from here and spend some time in the waves before heading home.
When flying out of Orlando International Airport, we like to keep the magic going by driving back to Orlando in the morning and spending the day at
Disney Springs until our flight leaves. There are so many fun
shops and incredible
dining options here. My favorite is
The Edison as it has great food, theming and entertainment!
Disney Springs makes passing time a breeze. There are also plenty of activities including a movie theatre, bowling alley and the famous vintage
Amphicar Tours!
Enjoy making magical memories on your Disney Cruise and beyond! Bon voyage! Angie
