any cruise that doesn't require a passport

Welcome aboard, Marcos! It sounds like you're considering setting sail with Disney Cruise Line! I see you're from Texas. Did you hear the big news that Disney Cruise Line will be returning to Galveston, Texas as a homeport for November and December of 2015? That might make a great time for you to sail! My family and I really enjoyed our two cruises out of Galveston last year, and since you're coming from Texas, I bet you'd enjoy a port so close to home!

Passports are encouraged for all sailings, however there are a few that do not require a passport if you are a U.S. citizen. The Bahamian and Caribbean sailings require adults to have a state-issued birth certificate (copy or original) and government issued photo I.D., like a driver's license. Children under 16 only need to provide the state-issued birth certificate.

I would encourage you to apply for a passport if timing allows, however. My family prefers to travel with passports, as we like to be safe in the unlikely event that an emergency required us to travel home from a foreign port of call. There is certainly security in knowing that a valid passport can ease travel concerns.

Be sure to read more about travel document requirements on Disney Cruise Line's website so you are all set to begin planning your cruise, Marcos!
