Hello, Rachel! Thanks for sailing to us at planDisney with your question. Welcome!
I'm envious that you are just days away from your sailing. I could go for a Disney Cruise right about now! While a portable red light panel is not specifically listed as a prohibited item, I do recommend that you leave this item at home. The
prohibited items list is not an exhaustive list but it does give us a good idea of what types of appliances are acceptable to bring aboard. In general, electrical appliances are restricted to select hair styling and grooming tools.
I'm sorry if this is not the news you were hoping to hear, but I want to make sure you have the most smooth sailing possible. If a guest brings aboard a prohibited item, the item will be confiscated and can result in a delay of your luggage delivery until late evening on embarkation day.
Rachel, as you prepare for your travel, please be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, or check to make sure that you have the most recent version downloaded. The Navigator app will point your compass toward all of the fun to be found on the ship. The Daily Activity Schedule within the app will list the time and location for entertainment and activities throughout your cruise. If you see something listed that you don't want to miss, simply click the heart icon next to the listing and make sure you have enabled your notifications. The app will send a push notification to your smartphone about 15 minutes before your favorite activities are set to begin. I find it to be a very helpful feature.
Rachel, have an amazing adventure at sea! Eat a soft-serve ice cream cone for me!
Bon Voyage,
Adrianna
