Hi, Ellen! Welcome to planDisney. It's lovely to have you sail our way with your question.
I'd love to help you prepare for your adventure at sea. It's almost time to zip up your suitcases and let the fun begin! I'm glad you asked specifically about your Dyson product. I checked with Disney Cruise Line and was told that the ship's electrical systems are not able to support Dyson products. Please leave your Dyson Airstrait at home.
Your stateroom will be equipped with a hair dryer, but you are welcome to bring a hair dryer, curling iron, or flat iron aboard to style your hair. The desk in the
stateroom works as a great vanity area to use while you get ready. You'll find a helpful mat in the desk drawer to protect the stateroom surfaces from heat-styling products. I didn't notice it the first time I sailed, but now that I know it's there, I love to use it every time I curl my hair. Some days I have a "mermaid hair; don't care" vibe (like when I've spent all day on
Castaway Cay and didn't want to leave the island with enough time to be ready for dinner), but the stateroom layout and vanity area is useful when it's time to get cleaned up.
Ellen, I'm wishing you a fabulous Disney Cruise! If you'd like to sail again soon with Mickey and the gang, you can book a placeholder while onboard within the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. This placeholder can be used on most sailing dates and most categories to enjoy another sailing within 24 months at a discount! If you book the placeholder and your plans change, the placeholder is fully refundable. It's so flexible that I always book one while I sail. It makes it a little easier to walk off the ship on the final morning.
Bon Voyage!
Adrianna
