Ahoy there, Mandi! I'm so glad you drifted on over with your question.
It looks like you've got a very Merry Christmas booked on a
Disney Cruise Line sailing. Disney does a collection of
Very Merrytime cruises over the weeks leading up to Christmas, and they are truly a holiday treat. If your trip includes a stop at Disney's private island,
Castaway Cay, you'll even see the island showing off its holiday spirit.
On these sailings, Mandi, you will have a chance to see Santa Claus, and Mrs. Claus has in the past hosted a storytime for everyone to enjoy. I can't make any promises on behalf of Santa, but in years past, Santa has made an appearance by the tree in the atrium on Christmas morning, and there have been carolers and a whole generally festive feeling onboard. In my previous Christmas sailings, there have been some treats left on Christmas Eve, but as you can imagine, Santa has his hands full to get to all of the houses on land, so he doesn't usually make a visit to all the staterooms.
What we've done in the past for my girls was to bring Christmas stockings, already filled, which I hid in my suitcase until before they woke up on Christmas day. I pulled the stockings out and placed them in the stateroom, so the girls got to wake up thinking Santa stopped by. You can also browse some
onboard gift options, which may have something themed for the holidays when you sail.
Mandi, I hope you have a very merry, maritime Christmas!
