Hey there, Mitch, so glad you’ve stopped by planDisney!
How exciting that you’ll be sailing away with
Disney Cruise Line soon. I know how fast the time will fly as you count down to your trip, and making sure you’ve got all your travel documents and getting that packing list completed is important.
I did some research and, yes, a certified transcript of birth is an officially certified document from the State of New York. However, whether that is valid for a Disney Cruise depends on your sailing destination. We always
recommend a passport for added security, even if not required. You’ll want to check your specific sailing reservation and look up what
documentation is required for your cruise. When the time comes for your online check-in window you’ll need to have the documentation available at that time, and it must be the same document at embarkation.
We found that a passport was the easiest document as it showed our photo ID and citizenship together. Once you do have the proper documents, you can also rest easy once aboard as
each stateroom comes with a safe to store your documents and valuables. Well, I hope this was helpful, Mitch, and gets you another step closer to your cruise!
If you do have other questions feel free to cruise on by again, we’re here to help!
Have a magical sailing!
Camille
