This will be our 1st cruise! We will be celebrating our 38th anniversary, there will be 13 of us. What are some things I should do ahead of time to make this a fun trip? I've heard to decorate the door, etc.

Welcome aboard, Karen! Hooray for your very first cruise with Disney and congrats on your upcoming anniversary! As a first time cruiser, you can begin your online check-in 75 days prior to boarding. You'll want to log in as soon as you're able to choose any extras like Port Adventures, Adult Dining and special character experiences. Take some time to browse the website to choose any "must-do's" so you're ready to book them as soon as you're able. Many fill up quickly, and since guests who have sailed with Disney before get earlier access to booking, you don't want to wait too long!

Decorating the stateroom door is such fun, and helps your room stand out from the plain doors in the long hallway! Print some personalized Disney designs, laminate them and attach magnets, throw them in your luggage and you'll be set to decorate! Disney also offers celebration decorations that can be pre-ordered, along with other celebratory gifts you may be interested in since you're enjoying your anniversary! Check them out on the Gifts and Amenities page! I loved being surprised with ceiling to floor birthday decor when we sailed on my birthday last year! It was a magical way to begin the cruise!

I highly recommend booking a romantic dinner at Palo or Remy, the Adult Exclusive restaurants onboard. They carry an additional charge, but you will not find a more luxurious meal than in these two amazing spots! My husband and I never miss the chance to dine there!

Bring along some items for your favorite Disney friends to sign. Perhaps a blank photo mat and some colorful markers. That makes for a nice souvenir to frame your favorite cruise photo! And please check out the exciting Port Adventures! We've created so many magical memories exploring the islands with Disney! Have fun!
