Hi there, Kathleen!
Welcome back to planDisney. I am happy to answer a question from someone who has contacted planDisney in the past! It sounds like we both enjoy both land and sea Disney vacations. Last year, my family visited Walt Disney World Resort for a few days before sailing on the
Disney Wish. I loved spending busy days in the theme parks and then having time to relax (and take naps!) on the
Disney Cruise.
Sometimes our life plans change, and being familiar with cancellation policies is a good idea. The
Disney Cruise Line Terms and Conditions for Residents of the United States outlines the cancellation policies and related refunds. Generally, most Disney Cruise Line vacations canceled more than 120 days in advance will get a refund. Cancellations of shorter cruises can possibly receive a refund more than 90 days before the sailing date. Reservations Categories with Restrictions are usually nonrefundable.
You should be able to
cancel a reservation on the Disney Cruise Line website. Log into your MyDisney account and under "Already Booked", select "My Reservations". Under "Modify Reservation", you can try canceling your reservation. Cancellation fees may apply in certain situations. If you are unclear about what those fees might be, call Disney Cruise Line before canceling. Sometimes you can modify a cruise to a later date if that works better for you.
Kathleen, I hope you can sail aboard the Disney Cruise Line soon! It is unlike any other vacation!
Happy sailing!
Jen
