Hi, We have never been on a cruise before and have booked the Disney Dream in Nov. We are very excited!! We loved doing pin trading in the parks and were wondering if they do this on the ship as well? Thanks

Michelle, welcome aboard! The Disney Dream is going to be such a magical ship for you to be on as you set sail on your very first cruise! I have a feeling it won't be your last!

My children absolutely love pin trading, and there are many opportunities to take part in this fun activity on the Dream. Be sure your family wears lanyards with pins as you head to meals on the ships. Especially at lunch outside Cabanas, you'll find Cast Members with Pin Trading Lanyards, so that's always a fun spot to find a must-have pin!

In the gift shops onboard, Cast Members may be wearing lanyards as well. If they are not, just ask one of the Cast Members at the checkout desk there. They usually have either a book or small set of pins under the desk that they will pull out for trading. The last time we were on the Dream, my daughter stopped into the shops every chance she got so she could trade. The Cast Members got to know her very well, and even invited her to be the "Official Pin Trader of the Cruise"! She was invited to join the officers for Officer Pin Trading Night.

Don't miss that event! It's on one of the last couple nights of your sailing, usually. Watch the Personal Navigator for details. That evening, the officers all meet in the atrium or another designated spot to trade pins with guests. The "Official Pin Trader" is also given a Disney lanyard full of pins to trade with guests and gets to stand up with the officers. My daughter was so thrilled with this special "job" she had! At the end of the event she received a special certificate and pin to commemorate this magical moment!

So, have fun on the Dream and be sure to trade as often as possible with the Cast Members! Maybe someone in your family will be chosen as the "Official Pin Trader" too! Stop back with any further questions you have before you set sail, Michelle! I'm always happy to help!
