While on a cruise, can I book a future cruise using some of our DVC points and receive the benefits usually offered for booking on board? If yes, would/could the 'down-payment' be in cash rather than points?

    Ahoy Sharon!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Disney Cruise Line Vacations can be booked with either cash, Disney Vacation Club Vacation Points, or a combination of the two. Whenever Vacation Points are used however, the booking needs to be done with Disney Vacation Club Member Services. I am sorry to say, that these types of bookings are not eligible to receive the perks or discounts that are offered to Guests booking their next Disney Cruise Line Vacation while onboard one of the ships.

You might consider booking with cash to receive the full benefits of an onboard booking, then bank your Vacation Points into the subsequent Use Year, to take a larger vacation in the future. Another idea would be to create your own “Land & Sea” package by booking the cruise portion of your trip with cash, and your parks portion using your Vacation Points to stay at a Disney Vacation Club Resort at Walt Disney World.

Whichever way you choose to book, I’m sure you’ll have a magical voyage with Disney Cruise Line!
