We are going on the 5/20 cruise to the Bahamas and our daughter, age 10, would prefer to hang out with the tween age group (11 - 14) more than the kid age group. She really wants to go to Edge. Is she going to be able to get in?

    Ahoy, Tina!
It's just about time for your magical voyage to the Bahamas to get underway! I hope the next few weeks fly by so it will finally be your family's turn to experience all the Disney Dream has to offer! On the first afternoon, I suggest dropping by Edge to speak to the counselors about your daughter moving up to this program since she is close to the age requirement. In the past, I have heard of kids being able to participate in the next level if they are close to their next birthday and/or the parents sign a waiver. Policies can change at any time, so it's best for you to speak with them in person about your daughter's particular situation. The youth areas are open for Open House hours on Embarkation Day. It will give your entire family the opportunity to check out the spaces before secure programming begins that night. Whichever club your daughter participates in, I recommend attending the first night activities as many friendships are formed at this time. It always amazes me how quickly my daughter makes friends when we cruise!
Thank you for stopping by with your question, Tina! Please let us know if you think of anything else before you cast off on the Disney Dream!
