Hello there, Lashawnda!
Oh, 2021- what a time to be alive, right? My family also enjoyed a Disney Cruise Line sailing that year and I very clearly remember all the additional precautions in place. We were so impressed with the health and safety measures and felt comfortable during our entire voyage, but my children really wished they got to spend more time in the fantastic
Youth Clubs on board. We were lucky to book an additional session on one day of our sailing, but they definitely wanted more time to play and explore.
We'll be sailing again next month, and your question was one of the first things I looked into when we began looking at itineraries. While reservations are still required for time slots at
"it's a small world" nursery!, I'm happy to report that reservations are no longer necessary for
Disney's Oceaneer Club or the other tween and teen spaces at this time. Your little sailors can come and go as they wish with no advance planning or time limits. Keep in mind policies and procedures are always subject to change, but at least for now, things are back to smooth sailing!
Did you know that on
Disney Wish, the newest member of the Disney Cruise Line fleet, kids can literally slide into the fun at the Oceaneer Club? You can check them in on Deck 3 and then watch as they zip down a slide to the incredible spaces available to them on Deck 2. Parents and guardians usually get a chance to give it a try during designated times on the first day of sailing, so I'm absolutely not missing a chance to experience it for myself.
I hope this helps put you at ease and gets you ready to plan another magical sailing. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to come back and "sea" us here again at planDisney.
Wishing you magic and memories,
Amy
