Welcome aboard, Katie!
I love sailing with Disney Cruise Line, and it sounds like your family is about to head off on your very first adventure at sea with Disney too! Believe me, there is truly
something for everyone onboard from the littlest sailor to his grandparents and everyone in between! But, after all the magic onboard and in the ports of call, the final day does arrive and it'll be time to head home.
It's always a bittersweet day for us, because we've enjoyed so much excitement and magic on the ship, and we have to say goodbye to those Cast Members who have become like family to us. But, if you've got another Disney Cruise Line trip planned in the future (you can save a ton if you book another while onboard!) it certainly makes it easier to not say "Goodbye," but "See ya' real soon!"
If you'll be using
Disney Cruise Line's Ground Transfers, which you can book before you set sail, they recommend flights after 11:30 a.m. to ensure ample time to enjoy your final breakfast onboard, disembark, go through customs, and take the motorcoach to the airport. Our flight home is usually around 12:30 or 1, and we always have arrived at the airport in plenty of time. I do highly recommend the cruise transfers, as letting Disney do the driving is the easiest way to transition from land to sea and back again, Katie!
Happy planning and have a great cruise!
