Welcome aboard, Ryan! This spring will be a beautiful time to set sail with Captain Mickey and his crew for a magical seven-night adventure at sea! You didn't mention which of Disney's four pixie-dusted ships you'll be on, or which itinerary. I don't see any of the ships departing on April 19, so I can't tell you about the exact ports of call you'll be visiting.
However, no matter which gorgeous ports you'll enjoy on your cruise, you'll be in for all sorts of adventure. If you take one of Disney Cruise Line's exciting
Port Adventures, lunch may be included. Check out the details of each adventure to find out. If it's not included in your adventure, or if you'll be heading off the ship to explore the ports on your own, you will need to purchase your own food. Credit cards are widely accepted in the port cities, but some local eateries or food stands may only accept cash. U.S. Dollars are typically accepted in the Bahamas, Caribbean and Mexico. The cost will vary depending on where you eat, as there are quick bites for a few dollars and lovely seaside restaurants that cost quite a bit more, so just find a spot that fits your budget, and you'll enjoy the day!
If your itinerary includes a day at Disney's Private Island,
Castaway Cay, no need to bring extra money for lunch there, as all your meals on the island are included! Of course, there are bars with specialty beverages on the beach that will carry an additional cost, but those can be charged right to your stateroom account. As for lunch, you'll enjoy three buffet lunch spots, so just head to the one closest to where you've set up on the beach and you'll be in for quite the selection of barbecued favorites!
Have fun planning this big vacation, Ryan. Please stop back if we can help with anything else before you head out to sea!
