Ahoy, Sharon!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I was in your same boat last summer around this time. I continually monitored the weather before we left for our
Alaskan sailing. We encountered rain as well and all of our
Alaskan Port Adventures, with the exception of helicopter tour, went on as scheduled. The Alaskan Tour Operators are accustomed to the rain, and many excursions will be able to operate even if it's wet. Our waterproof outer layers and waterproof shoes definitely came in handy when we ventured ashore. We just threw up our hoods and off we went to enjoy the experiences we booked. If an adventure is canceled, you will be able to get a full refund. It actually wasn't rain that canceled our helicopter tour, but the fog. We had booked an early morning tour, and they rescheduled us for the afternoon. Unfortunately, the fog was still an issue, so we received a full refund. I did have a back-up plan, which I definitely suggest for you. Before you leave, research one additional option for each
Alaskan port of call just in case.
Please don't stress about the weather, Sharon! Even though we had wet days, we still loved every minute of our adventure. It's such a unique cruise experience that you want to immerse yourself in it no matter what Mother Nature decides!
If you have any other last minute questions, please let me know. Best wishes for a "Wonder-ful" time in the beautiful state of Alaska!
Bon Voyage!
