I have a CRT reservation for 10pm dinner. I am hopeful that an earlier time will open up before my 48 hour cancellation window has passed. Can I swap the existing reservation time with the new time and avoid having to refund and repay on my CC?

Hi, Elizabeth! Thanks for stopping by with another great question for us! I can certainly understand how you may want to try for an earlier dining reservation. While Cinderella had until midnight before her magical moment faded, the hour can grow late for little ones a bit earlier than that. Do keep an eye on available dining reservations through the My Disney Experience mobile app or online for one that may work better for your family. Guests' plans change often, so you never know when Fairy Godmother may send one your way!

In the event that you do see earlier availability, the best way to make the swap is by using the Modify button. This is the thingamabob that does the job of making for an easy change. Simply pull up your current dining reservation in My Plans and look for the link to Modify your reservation. When you tap it, all available times for that specific day will be listed. Upon completion of this, your reservation will magically update without you having to pay again for your meal. If you prefer, you may also call a Disney Dining Cast Member and they will be able to assist you with the time modification.

Occasionally, I have not been able to modify my dining reservation, requiring me instead to cancel and rebook. I seriously blame Cinderella's sneaky stepsisters for that! If you do need to do the same, you will receive a credit on your credit card's billing statement. In my experience, the credit processed within just a few days of canceling the reservation, so hopefully it will not cause an issue for you.

Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions!
