Hi Moms. What are the crowds and weather typically like the first week in April?

Hi Mark! April is a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World! The gorgeous International Flower and Garden Festival will be in full bloom at Epcot, and the weather is generally delightful. High temperatures in April average in the low 80s, and lows hover around 60 degrees. According to www.weather.com, April has the least amount of rain of any month at Disney!

Crowds in April can vary from year to year depending on the timing of the Easter holiday. The Frequently Asked Questions page on the Disney website states that park attendance levels are at their highest from mid-March to late-April since that period usually coincides with Spring Breaks at schools and colleges. However, the Easter holiday is unusually late this year, which may affect the crowd levels in early April.  I like to check the Crowd Calendar on the unofficial site touringplans.com, which predicts attendance levels based on many factors including past history, Extra Magic Hours, and holidays. According to this site, crowds will be high in mid-March and late-April, but only at moderate levels during the first week of April. I've found that the Crowd Calendar is generally quite accurate, so the first week of April looks like a great time to visit!

I hope this helps! Please come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions!
