How are the crowds for early/mid august? I know this is one of the busiest times, is it so crazy that you can't get back into the parks after you leave? Went last year in May and loved the low crowds, don't know if I can handle a ton of people?

    Hi Tara,

I love Disney World in August! I usually go late August but I have been there at early/mid August as well. While the crowds are big, you will not be shut out of the parks. This is really only a reality at Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Eve. You can easily head back to your resort to swim or take a break and return later in the evening.

You will be able to experience Extra Magic Hours so this helps to make touring easier for some families. I generally do not take advantage of them as they make us too tired with too many extended days.

I will tell you it will be hot so drink plenty of fluids while you are touring the parks!

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
