Crowd levels Easter weekend. We're doing a quick trip this year for Easter weekend. Hitting Epcot and MK only. How are the crowd levels during this holiday; especially Easter Sunday at MK? Does it get as nutty as Christmas? Park shut-down? Thanks

    Hi Jennifer!

Congratulations on your upcoming trip during Easter weekend at Walt Disney World!

You will be pleasantly surprised that Easter weekend is not as crowded as Christmas day at Walt Disney World (WDW). The Christmas season, which lasts throughout the last two weeks of the year, are the most crowded times at WDW.

There will definitely be crowds on Easter Sunday, so plan to get to the parks early. However, it won't be quite as crowded as Christmas Day. My favorite site for understanding crowd levels is touringplans dot com. They have the crowd levels listed by day, park and even time of day!

Based on the crowd calculator I would recommend visiting Epcot on Saturday and Magic Kingdom on Sunday. Plan to get at the parks at rope drop. The Extra Magic Hours on those days are at Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, so you wont' be able to take advantage of those if you aren't visiting those parks. However, Magic Kingdom and Epcot both open at 9:00 a.m. so plan to get there at 8:30 so you will be one of the first guests in the park.

There are tons of fun activities to do at Disney during Easter, so don't miss out on those! You can meet the Easter bunny at Magic Kingdom and there is a Easter Egg Hunt in the American Pavilion at Epcot!

I hope you have a magical vacation!
    Magically,
    Stacy
