Can I use a crockpot in a DVC studio with a kitchenette? Would love to have this as a option for our up coming trip but wouldn't want to come back to the room and find mousekeeping had unplugged it.

    Welcome Home Daphanie!

I love my crockpot so much! It takes the “work” out of creating a delicious, perfectly tender meal. I have a feeling that’s what you are looking for with bringing a crockpot - a delightful dinner is prepared while you are out having fun in the Parks!

Unfortunately, small appliances such as crockpots, Instapot and hot plates are not allowed in Walt Disney World Resort rooms. But! Most of the Disney Vacation Club studios have a microwave, toaster, and mini fridge to help prepare meals. Also, I have stayed at almost every one of the Deluxe Villas properties, and I can vouch that each of their Quick Service locations has an excellent array of options to satisfy any appetite.

Daphanie, consider adding the Disney Dining Plan to your resort reservation. You can add it up to 24 hours before your arrival, and depending on the Plan you choose, each of the people in your Studio will have a combination of Quick Service and possibly Table Services meals conveniently located throughout the Parks and Resorts. A lot of the Quick Service locations let you order your meal ahead of time through the My Disney Experience app. We routinely pick our meals while we are waiting for an attraction, and as soon as we are done hit the “prepare my meal” button so that by the time we arrive, our meal is ready. Doing what you want your crockpot to do - save you time and effort!

If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. I wish you a magical vacation!
