Can you use your credit for the desert on a snack instead on this new dinning plan? I know on the last one you could do a app but was not sure if this was a option?

    Hi Heather,

Welcome back to planDisney. I hope 2024 is off to a magical start for you! This year is extra exciting as dining plans return on January 9. I know guests have many questions about the details of these returning favorites so let's dig in!

The Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan includes the following per party guest over age 3:

2 Quick-Service Meals, per night of stay
1 Snack or Nonalcoholic Beverage, per night of stay
    1 Resort-Refillable Mug

Quick-Service Meals include an entree and non-alcoholic beverage (or alcoholic for guests aged 21+) but do not include an appetizer or dessert. Based on my research, substitutions and swaps are not available for any meal types. For example, guests cannot exchange a Quick-Service Meal for a Snack or redeem multiple Snacks for a Quick-Service Meal.

On the Disney Dining Plan, eligible guests receive:

1 Table-Service Meal, per night of stay
1 Quick-Service Meal, per night of stay
1 Snack, or Nonalcoholic Beverage, per night of stay
    1 Resort-Refillable Mug

Table-Service Meals include an entree and beverage OR a Full Buffet/Family-Style Meal at applicable locations during breakfast. Meals redeemed for brunch, lunch and dinner will include an entree, beverage and dessert, or a Full Buffet/Family-Style Meal at eligible locations. Again, substitutions and swaps are not available for this plan, so you wouldn't be able to use an included Table-Service dessert for any other meal type or food item. I'd also like to point out that certain Character Dining, Fine/Signature Dining, and other select locations and experiences will require two Table-Service Meals for redemption. I'd recommend reviewing the full details and terms of both dining plan options to determine the best option for you.

I'm sorry if this is not the news you hoped for, but as in the past, dining plans can be used at your leisure during your stay. Not interested in a snack on arrival day but want to have two on your second day? You sure can! Just remember that any unused meals and snacks, as well as your Resorts Refillable Mug, will expire at midnight on your package check-out date.

I hope this was helpful, Heather. Please stop back and see us again with more planning questions.

Wishing you a happy (and delicious) vacation,
    Amy
