Hi Linda!
That’s not a crazy question at all! Everyone here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel wants to help make your Walt Disney World vacation practically perfect, so if you have a question, we’ll do our very best to help find an answer.
I know of just one spot on property where you can find a drink served in a real coconut. At
Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, the Pele’s Fire Punch cocktail is served in a handcarved monkey coconut that’s yours to take home as a souvenir. Although the drink on the menu is adults-only, I’m sure you’d be able to request a non-alcoholic version from your server instead. If you’d like to take a peek at the coconut, I was able to find a picture of one from a few years back on the independent site disneyalacarte.blogspot.com.
If your plans don’t include the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, it might be possible for one of the other restaurants or lounges at the Polynesian to get their hands on one for you if you’re there.
The Tambu Lounge would be the easiest to stop by to ask - it’s located on the 2nd floor (same as the monorail). I can’t guarantee it will happen, but it never hurts to ask.
The Polynesian is also home to a bunch of other fun drinks, including the Lapu Lapu (a cocktail served in a whole, fresh pineapple) and a boatload of options served in souvenir cups at
Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, which is open to children until 8:00 p.m.
Wishing you and your family a magical vacation, Linda!
