Hey there, Sarah! With the emphasis on pre-planning your
Walt Disney World vacation, it can be scary for someone going on a last minute trip. Not to worry. Even on the busiest days of the year - and that includes Christmas day - you can find something, somewhere, if you can be just a little bit flexible.
While many guests like to book meals when their window opens 180 days in advance, you can usually find some pretty varied options even when you wait until the day of to book
Disney Dining Reservations. It may be tougher to get the most popular meals, but if you can eat at off peak times (early lunches or late dinners, for example), you may even luck into one of the most coveted reservations. Be broad when searching for meal times. I always put in "dinner" for a dinner reservation, instead of choosing a specific time. That will give you a bigger list of options.
Don't discount some of the quick service dining options. Many of them, including my favorite
Columbia Harbour House, have options that rival a table service meal. You can find grilled salmon dinners, rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables, barbecue ribs, falafel, and more at some of these walk-up, counter service restaurants. At
Epcot especially, you'll find a wide variety of delicious options that don't require a reservation.
Also look at the
Disney Springs restaurants. The options there are continually growing, and you'll find everything from pizza and burgers to one of the best seafood meals anywhere.
Have a great trip!
Anna
