I had a co-worker pass away who loved Disney and Mickey Mouse. I was looking for something that could be displayed at Disney World in her memory. Is there something that is offered? The only thing I found were the pavers.

    Hello Whitney,

I am so sorry about the loss of your friend and co-worker. What a wonderful gesture to want to honor her in a place that she loved. As someone who feels that the Walt Disney World Resort is her second home, I completely understand how special it would be to have a way to memorialize your friend in her happy place.

Unfortunately, at this time, there is not any permanent way to honor someone or mark an occasion at the Walt Disney World Resort. In the past, custom pavers were available to be installed in the Magic Kingdom area, and later you could have a photo-etched into the towers at “Leave a Legacy” at the entrance to Epcot.

While you can no longer have a custom paver installed at the Walt Disney World Resort, you can purchase one for personal use from ShopDisney. Perhaps this would be something that could be placed at her resting spot, or gifted to her family? In particular, I like the “Walk Around the World” style of paver that has Walt holding hands with Mickey Mouse, similar to Partners Statue on Main Street, U.S.A. You can also never go wrong with the classic Mickey Mouse option.

Whatever you decide, I’m sure it will be appreciated by her loved ones. May her memory be a blessing to you, and to all who knew your friend.
