Welcome to planDisney, Rebecca, and thank you for visiting the Panel with your question!
My family visited Walt Disney World Resort and
Disney's Beach Resorts last summer with enhanced health and safety measures in place. We spent a lot of time at the pools during our stays at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Vero Beach Resort, and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort. All of the resorts had signs with requirements like face coverings and Cast Members reminding Guests to adhere to the posted guidelines.
Currently,
face coverings are required for all Guests, ages 2 and up. Guests are asked to bring their own face coverings and wear them at all times, except when dining or swimming. Our family wore our masks to the pool areas and removed them when we were ready to splash and play in the pool. All seating outside of the pool was socially distanced, so we felt safe when leaving the pool to dry off and "mask up" again. We would remove our masks to have a snack or a refreshing beverage, and none of our four children seemed to mind.
I would recommend reviewing the latest
updates about Resort services, amenities, dining, transportation, check-in, and more. There is also a list online of
enhanced health and safety measures now in place at Walt Disney World Resort. During your visit, look for any posted guidelines when you are heading to the pool. Cast Members will also be close by to remind Guests of policies that must be adhered to.
Please let the Panel know if we can help you with any other questions as you plan your magical Walt Disney World vacation.
Have a magical day!
Bob
