Ahoy, Barbara! Welcome back aboard planDisney!
You and I are in the same boat, dreaming of sailing the high seas again with Captain Mickey. I really miss the luxury of staying in a
concierge stateroom! My family is wishing upon a star that our cruise in November, our first in a one-bedroom suite, will be setting sail in just a few short months.
We booked our vacation over a year in advance, so with all that has happened during this pandemic, my family faced the very real possibility of having to cancel our sailing. What I found is that currently, if Disney Cruise Line cancels your itinerary, they are offering future cruise credit to move your vacation to a future date or a full refund to concierge guests. This offer is subject to change for future cancellations.
If you decide to cancel your sailing and Disney Cruise Line has not yet announced the itinerary has been cancelled, concierge guests would still be subject to the
cancellation fees outlined in the cruise contract terms and conditions, which is your cruise deposit if you cancel 90 days or more before your departure date. If you cancel within 90 days of your sailing, additional fees do apply.
The great news is that Disney Cruise Line has introduced
Cruise Date Flexibility to guests who have booked by October 31, 2020 for sailings through May 2021. This allows you to move your sail date up to 15 days prior to departure. If you don't feel comfortable setting out to sea just yet, Captain Mickey will allow you to move your vacation to a date in the future without losing your deposit (or additional fees) if you do so at least 15 days before your reservation. This will help you to avoid losing any payments you may have already made!
I hope that I have steered you in the right direction, Barbara. I truly am looking forward to when we both can be onboard once again. Please cruise back to planDisney if you have any additional questions before your vacation!
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
