My cousin and I and our 4 children, ranging in age from 3 to 13, will be in Orlando for a vacation August 3-10. Where can we find some discounted tickets to the parks? As we begin making a budget and looking up the prices to the parks, WOW, expensive!

Hi Christina! You're right that the park admission tickets take up a big chunk of your Disney vacation budget, but there's so much do inside the Disney parks that you do get a lot of bang for your buck. If you're staying at a Disney resort, buying your park passes directly from Disney as part of a vacation package enables you to purchase the Disney Dining Plan, which can save you money on meals.

If you're not interested in the Dining Plan, you can often find discounted tickets from other sources. If you're a AAA member, your local AAA office may offer discounted passes. Members of the military can buy discounted tickets for their families. I've often found good deals on park passes at the unofficial website, UndercoverTourist.com. The unofficial website, Mousesavers.com, is a good source of information about discounts at Disney World, and subscribers to the Mousesavers newsletter receive special rates on tickets at Undercover Tourist.

Wishing you a magical Disney vacation this August! Come see us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
